  • Do I still need a merchant account and payment gateway to start using Chargify?

    Yes. You must setup a merchant account before you start using Chargify. This account enables you to accept recurring credit card payments from your customers. Your payment gateway will transmit your customers' billing information to your merchant bank in order for payments to be deposited into your internet merchant account every month.

  • Do I still have to pay the transaction fees that my merchant account requires?

    Unfortunately this is one thing that we cannot control. Your merchant account and gateway will still take a percentage, also known as discount rate, of every transaction. This is something we would love to change, but it has been standard in the billing industry for years.

  • Can I use my existing payment gateway or do I need to change?
